This is a set of 20 uniquely designed age-appropriate cards that contain 50+ hands-on activities, Fun Facts, basic concepts and a lot more to help children discover science concepts hidden in the real world as they tinker in the kitchens, gardens, parks, bathrooms and even windowsills. Children find learning active and super fun as they make real world connections with what they do and the world that exists around.
“Our Homes are Powerful Learning laboratories. There are so many concepts hidden in the world around us. If only we could help children use their immediate environment to question and learn from everything around them. When children Internalise their Lived Experiences, Authentic and Deeper Learning takes place” says and believes our founder, Author and Educationist Vaishali Gupta.
These level specific STEAM cards have been especially curated by Vaishali around these beliefs, and guide children towards exploring bathrooms, kitchens, gardens, balconies, parks and windowsills as active and fun filled learning spaces.
Through STEAM cards children are given target driven situations, that help in Holistic learning through:
- Enquiry based learning
- Strategy building
- Experiential Learning
- Building powerful skills of processing, predicting, validating, analysing and Evaluating
- Thinking out of the box
- Making Learning Self-directed and personalized
- Building agency and risk taking
We complement school learning by adding a fun dimension to learning at home. Tasks in STEAM cards invoke learning in multiple domains and promote high levels of Critical Thinking in a fun and interesting way.
Through these Activity Cards, we are aiming to nurture future thinkers, innovators and inventors in their Home Environments. After all, we cannot create a thinker suddenly in Senior school. Let’s nurture thinking and questioning skills right from the beginning, so that critical enquiry and discovery becomes a way of life for every child!
