This is a set of 20 uniquely designed age-appropriate cards that contain 50+ hands-on activities, Fun Facts, basic concepts and a lot more to help children discover science concepts hidden in the real world as they tinker in the kitchens, gardens, parks, bathrooms and even windowsills.
Through these Activity Cards, we are aiming to build a foundation for thinking skills, as well as innovation skills in every child in their Home Environments.
“Our Homes are Powerful Learning laboratories. There are so many concepts hidden in the world around us. If only we could help children use their immediate environment to question and learn from everything around them. When children Internalise their Lived Experiences, Authentic and Deeper Learning takes place” says and believes our founder, Author and Educationist Vaishali Gupta.
Parents use these level specific STEAM cards to help their child experience Science, Technology Engineering and Math in real life. Through guided explorations in the bathrooms, kitchens, gardens, balconies, parks and windowsills, children find learning active and super fun as they make real world connections with what they learn and the world that exists around.
Use these cards to guide your child towards building a questioning and exploratory mind. When children are given a rich and stimulating environment right from the beginning, they build multiple skills for their Holistic development.
At this level, every card has a special section that guides parents towards helping children experience critical concepts. This would go a long way in laying a strong foundation for scientific enquiry through Observations and Experience.
Our STEAM cards are directed towards:
- Enquiry based learning
- Strategy building
- Experiential Learning
- Building scientific skills of processing, predicting, validating, analysing and Evaluating
- Thinking out of the box
- Building Risk taking and Agency
Tasks in STEAM cards will help invoke learning in multiple domains and promote higher levels of Critical Thinking in a fun and interesting way.
After all, we cannot create a thinker suddenly in Senior school. A thinking and questioning mind needs to be nurtured right from the beginning so that enquiry and discovery becomes a way of life for every child!
