Through our uniquely designed SLATE programme, we are helping community children take their first step towards a formal learning process before they get integrated into mainstream schools.
Since 2020 (despite the challenges and barriers posed by the pandemic), SLATE has been bridging learning gaps, by empowering thousands of children from disadvantaged and diverse backgrounds like
- migrant communities,
- rag pickers,
- Neo-literates
- school dropouts
- Out of school
The Learning Pedagogies in SLATE are completely aligned to the recommendations of the National Curricular Framework 2022. The programme is especially designed keeping the demographics and economic challenges of the target audience in mind.
With the help of

- Sets of worksheets
- regular Training sessions
- teacher training videos
the SLATE programme has enabled volunteers as well as community women to become powerful facilitators, disseminating multisensory completely based, high quality teaching learning instructions to community children of not just Delhi NCR but many parts of India.
The impact of SLATE has been amazing and so far a couple of thousand community children are moving towards competency based education and unleashing their potential.
For effective implementation of SLATE, One Teacher One Scientist has been holding sessions and Teacher training through video and audio modules to empower teachers, facilitators and volunteer to ensure that classroom transaction of activities is easier and pedagogically correct.
Currently SLATE is running very effectively in several parts of India, predominantly in Noida, Greater Noida, Jaipur, Tonk, Kota, Giridi, Saharanpur, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, to name a few. Our mission is to help every child in the country get access to quality education and perceive learning as a joyous and life long journey.
